Why Apple must charge $20 for the iPod Touch’s software update:
Apple must charge for substantial enhancements to products that do not have revenue recognized on a subscription basis or it has to restate prior earnings. The iPod touch does not have revenue recognized on a subscription basis. The iPhone does. As does the Apple TV. Hence, they get free updates and the iPod touch does not.

Pulling a “Romo” is when you or a person you know fails miserably under pressure in a crucial moment and looks like a complete and utter fool afterwards.

There is a weird thing I see online from time to time. A recent example was when someone wrote an article accusing me and David Karp of being assholes for starting a site that made fun of homeless people (which we had nothing to do with):
I am sure Lodwick thinks he is “cool” enough to make this joke. ...

“Vacation”, to me, is like sleep: it’s nice when my body needs it, but I like to finish it in a reasonable amount of time so I can get back into my world.
-Well said
I’m back from my various holiday trips now. I probably could have taken today off, but being back is actually a huge relief.
I get bored of vacation after a day or two. While this is sadly unusual, I love what I do, and I...
