More pain in NYC moving
In New York City, this may hold true in other places but I can not speak to that, most leases end on the 31st of the month, and start on the 1st. How are you supposed to move especially when you can only move between 9 and 4 on week days. I cant wait until Friday when this will be all over.

I wear my sun glasses at night(or on the subway)
7 people on the subway with me this morning had there sun glasses on, and I don’t mean on there hair. I mean the subway lights can be bright but come on, it is enough already.

Theorize if you want, but if the problem is right... →
I can’t believe I’m reading this discussion. It’s like watching a room full of child psychologists arguing over why Billy is crying. They’re all expounding on their pet theories, and none of them bothers to ask Billy, “Why are you crying?” Connect a debugger to the helper process. See why it’s crying.

choose your own ending books
nikography: did anyone else have major issues with these as a kid? i did not use them as they were intended. i would skip ahead to see every alternative of every decision, leaving me with all of my fingers except for my thumbs marking a place. and even that was never enough, i’d have to use little pieces of paper. Weren’t they called choose your own adventure, or am I thinking of...

fred-wilson: best meal in paris. we had a number of memorable ones, but this was the best. One of the best meals of my life was in L’Atelier in Paris, the food is amazing and sitting at the counter talking to the waiter and watching the cooking was so incredible. The New York one, although it has tables to appease the Americans, is almost as good and definitely a worthy substitute. I would...

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog →
cubicle17: It’s hard to describe this as anything other than awesome, and is a great way to spend your Friday lunch break. Neal Patrick Harris plays ‘Dr Horrible’, an everyday super villain trying to get the girl of his dreams while gaining acceptance into The Evil League of Evil . It’s done as a musical, sports some excellent dry humor, and should not be missed. Acts I and II are currently...

Re-Reblogging etiquette
I just reblogged a link, and instead of re-reblogging from the person i follow, I reblogged it from the person they reblogged it. I have nothing against this person, and I thank them for bringing something interesting to my attention, but I just wanted the sentiment from the original post, not there commentary on it. I am a strong believer in both giving credit and linking back to the person to...

It’s also listed in the Guiness Book of World Records as the “most succinct word”. (via nostrich)

– 500 iPhone Apps, but why these? That’s what I’d like to know. (via Marco) Quality should not be a deciding factor, the only reason an app should not make it to the store is if it breaks one of the rules set out by Apple. So many people complained when Apple said they were going to review every app,...

HUMOR ME: relationship-style post
lfarm: During the Bachelorette finale this week, my roommate and I were discussing a friend of ours that recently got engaged. “Just in case” Monika’s future boyfriend ever asked me for advice, she showed me the engagement ring she’d one day like to be proposed to with. I took note, stored it away in my memory. I felt like I should be able to return the gesture, so I spent the next 30 minutes...

Netflix Value Proposition
mascarah: I am interested to know what people’s average cost per movie “rental” is? For example, since January 1, 2008, I have watched 41 movies via Netflix and I have the $13.99 per 2-movies-at-a-time plan. So I’ve paid about $2.10 per movie including tax. I wonder what $$ per movie most people come in around? Any takers? 35 Movies, $16.99/Month, Member for 4 months = $1.94 a movie I also have...
