URL for audio post on Tumblr
Why cant we use a URL for Audio posts like we can for Pictures. I would have no problem hosting my own mp3s so I could post more then 1 a day and files larger then 10mb.I imagine the reason you cannot is because this is how they keep the RIAA off their ass. If they were to allow people to post all they wanted they may be libel.
You CAN technically do this just not through the Tumblr interface. It’s a little sketchy and I’m sure it’s not advertised by Tumblr.
Yeah I know, you can either put in a link, or embed a flash mp3 player as a movie, but I like the idea of having it look and act like all other tumblr audio posts.
Also while I am talking about things I would like added to audio posts, it would be cool if I could reblog someone’s audio and add my own. right now you can only add text to reblogs, it would be cool if you could add media, maybe even change the post type in a reblog.
