iPhone 2.0 BETA
I want to preface this by saying that I upgraded from a Jailbroken 1.1.3 iPhone to a 2.0 one and although I went through the long process of a full restore first I know it could cause problems. I also want to say I understand that this is a beta release and as a software developer I expect problems/crashes.
That being said I am very disappointed with the quality of the iPhone 2.0 beta, it is very unstable, and slow. Every time I open Mail it crashes, and each time I press the home button what ever app i am in, hangs and looks like it is crashing not closing. Also the music store is missing for some reason. I was hoping to use this until the official release, so I could develop on it, but with no Mail and the slowness I don’t think I can.
The only 2 things that were positive was the search in the contacts(although this is something that most phones have, and should have been part of 1.0) and the fact that apps that I have written with the SDK can be run and debugged.
I understand that this is not meant as a consumer release and only to be used for development, but I am reverting back to 1.1.4 and jailbraking first thing when I get home tonight.
