Programmers Don't Read Books -- But You Should
I agree with most of what Jeff is saying, but I strongly believe in the usefulness of books when programing, especially when working with technologies older then 5-7 years or not widely used.
Currently I have 12 books on my desk, 3 of which are open and I have used in the past week to find information that I was unable to find on the web.
